My FemShep, Xev Shepard from Mass Effect: Infiltrator/Paragon/Earthborn/Survivor

This took so long to finish =_= I originally started it last month but a LOT of things happened preventing me from doing so. I thought maybe I would have lost interest already but LOVE WILL PERSEVERE XD

As it must be known, this is also a 'support a cure for Thane' pic that's going to become a card/postcard? because I want that leather clad man lizard to live (even if it's just until a little longer than the events of ME3)

I don't know if I'll ever be happy with this picture but I think I did a pretty good job XD I always have the same attitude about all my work though. I am my own Asian father unhappy with everything ahahaha

AHAH!

Somebody uploaded this pic to Mass Effect Female Shepard (a Facebook fanpage I admin) - [link] - last year claiming it was theirs. It got added to one of our albums, but later the person came clean that they'd lied to get attention (the person in question was actually about 12 years old!). Actually, I've spent time since then in correspondence with the lad (and his mother when she found out her son had been receiving emails from a stranger!), talking to him and teaching him better values. You'll be glad to know I don't think he'll ever be doing anything like that again. However, the mystery remained as to where it was he'd got the picture from... he couldn't remember and never used DA so must have got it from Google.

Anyway... I kept the picture, as several in the album had been uploaded by a previous admin without reference and it was my hope to one day find links to the artists and their originals for all of them. I am very happy that finally, I can add your name, and a link to your original here, to that picture! :) So sorry it took so long to find it. It's a lovely pic, and I just love the smirk on her face! :)

Haha I commented on the page. Like I said: It was only a matter of when and where, but such is the internet. Atleast he came to terms with what he did, I remember encountering someone who defended to the death the work they had stolen. Claimed they practiced replication of art from google, even painting the pixel quality loss from being blown up =_= Thank you kindly for referencing me! I've always figured this would have happened no matter what I did and there's some that would think the same and not reference the creator. Thank you for going the extra mile :)

Well I know that in truth, if we gave credit everywhere, we'd really end up with a massive long line of references. This picture was posted by A, who got it from B, who was inspired by C, the story bit in reference here which was written by D, who was inspired by a sci-fi book written by E, who was inspired by a sci-fi book *they* read written by F... But I think in the context of the living it's important to try to give credit. Historically perhaps it's not so important except where someone is distorting the meaning of a creation by someone long gone.

In the present though, its really hard for artists to do what they do - musicians, sculptors... painters, writers... None are paid particularly well for what they generate, and it's almost like sometimes it would be better if we treated artists as a communal service and paid all a basic wage, which they could either use to do whatever they damn well please, or gain a little extra through customised productions that sell to a wider audience. :)

LOL and yes the lad is coming to terms with it. I'm not sure it's really explained to kids that well as to why they shouldn't steal, and why things like that *are* stealing... He's learning though.
