Gathering this is a commission I'm going to assume the answer is no but on the off chance: any chance you'd be willing to let me upload this to the albums of a Facebook page I admin called Mass Effect Female Shepard? I'd include reference to you as artist and a link back to your original in the caption if I did.
And unfortunately you are right. I try to avoid Facebook all together regarded art being posted on there. It tends to find a way to get stolen regardless.
"Oh their name's on the image so you can just google it. It's in the corner - you know where you can't see when it's displayed unless you click on it and have to use a magnifying glass to read it." - Yeah. Great.
Drives me nuts!
Having said that, a lot of people make pages and just don't think about it. Nice thing about that is some of them feel really bad if you point it outthen they try to change. I got at least 3 pages to post credit for artists and links to originals in the captions of stuff they uploaded by whenever they asked for a "share" on my page, I said I followed the following policy:
1. The proof is in the pudding: I'd not share their page, I'd share something *from* their page and credit it to them.
2. I don't like sharing pictures that have no reference to the artist or original on my page.
I tell them I don't take it personally, they're free to run their pages as they please but on my page it's my rules. Several really respected what I'd written and pointed out, so then went about correcting all their captions and then I went ahead and shared their stuff.
Another page also for FemShep didn't like our page at all (we had a few fights because of the way they did things like share stuff without credit from artists and other pages too) but the upside was that at the time a couple of fans commended that generally (at the time I was not the sole admin) we posted links and such to originals, so their page did that for a long while because they considered it a competition!
So... I go with what Gandhi says: "Be the change you want to see in the world."
But I *do* appreciate people have a long way to go. There is still a lot of theft or just sharing without any recognition (that's still plagiarism!). So I don't blame you and respect your decision.
I only have to say one thing...
